Crave 1100mAh Slim Twist — 510 Thread Battery

A 510-thread variable voltage battery for standard cartridges. 1100mAh, adjustable from 3.3V to 4.8V with a twist dial at the base, and available in five colours.

At 1100mAh this holds enough charge for most people to go close to a week between charges, which is the main practical difference between it and the smaller 350mAh pocket batteries.

Which voltage should I use?

It matters more than most people expect, and it is the difference between tasting what you paid for and scorching it.

• Live rosin — lowest setting. Rosin is full of delicate terpenes and running it hot destroys exactly what makes it worth the price.
• Live resin — low to medium.
• Liquid diamonds — medium. Thicker product, needs a bit more heat to move.

Getting the most out of it

Charge to roughly 80% rather than 100% and avoid draining to empty — lithium cells last considerably longer cycled in the middle. Keep it out of hot cars. And clean the threading and centre pin with a cotton swab and isopropyl every couple of weeks: oil creeping into the connection is the single most common cause of a 510 battery that appears to have died.
